First movements in subsequent pregnancy?

I'm 16 weeks today (measuring 5 days ahead at 13 week scan). This is my 3rd pregnancy (last one was mmc) and I know I have a posterior placental. I'm quite slim although I'm really showing.

I haven't felt any movement. Thought I might have felt something over a week or 2 ago but so far nothing and I'm starting to really worry. I have a gender scan tonight and I'm getting very anxious about it. I'm bringing my kid.

Anyone in the same boat or would like to share when you felt movement in subsequent pregnancies?

I think I felt tiny twinges at that stage in my second pregnancy but nothing clear. I remember I had one great big kick at seventeen weeks, but then didn't really feel anything again till eighteen weeks. It got more and more frequent after that.

I'm currently 21w 5d with my second pregnancy and only just last week have I felt tiny flutters. I panicked cos I was always told that you feel them move quicker in your second pregnancy. I had an anterior placenta with my daughter so didn't really feel her till very late on so I thought I might have the same this time. But nope my placenta is posterior this time 🤷🏼‍♀️

He's always very very active on scans so I couldn't understand why I couldn't feel him. I'm still only feeling him now and again and just tiny flutters not big kicks.

I felt the tiniest of flickers around 16 weeks although this was only if I was lay down and concentrating. The movements didn't become apparent when I was doing everyday things until around 20 weeks and this is my second prengancy.

Fingers crossed for your scan, I am sure that all will be well!

@Gigi30 thats reassuring. I thought, 2nd pregnancy, posterior placenta that I'd be feeling something. I've read of people feeling movement from 13 weeks.

@Tinadecember thank you
