When was your elective c-section booked in for?

I’m technically having an elective c-section, but it’s on mental health grounds (psychiatrist ordered!) due to OCD and anxiety.

I have just moved house from a trust where it was booked in at 38 weeks- but I don’t know if that’s the case at my new trust. Meeting with the consultant tomorrow to book it all in and I’m terrified that they will make me wait until over 40 weeks. (The reason being I have got much, much worse as the pregnancy has progressed and it shows no sign of letting up. I can’t be on any more medication.)

When was yours booked for?

@Suprima how are you did you get your date you feeling any better?

Jaaxe · 13/06/2022 19:32

My electives were 39weeks and 39+1….pregnant now and said they’d plan from 38weeks this time as higher risk due to 3 previous sections and MH

39 exactly.

On the date that DP had jokingly requested at the previous appointment. 🙄

Mine was initially booked at 39 weeks, now changed to potentially 34-35 weeks still elective c section as she is not getting enough nutrients and safer out than in.

I'm booked for 39+3 due to breech presentation. Hoping she turns by herself before then because everything else is fine. I'd like to try for a vaginal birth, proceeding straight to c-section if intervention is required.
