Cure for exhaustion?

I'm coming up to 15 weeks and have had relentless tiredness since about week 5. I'm in bed at 7.30 each night and just feel so exhausted all the time. I have been waiting for the fabled second trimester energy but it hasn't appeared yet! Anyone who has experienced the same - has anything helped? I'm ready to try anything!

No sorry! I was exhausted all the way through both pregnancies! Just try and rest when you can, even if you don’t sleep, just rest.

Give birth and wait 6-12 months.

Also consider seeing your doctor/midwife and asking about screening for anaemia.

@TeddyTonks that made me chuckle, thank you! At least it is a good grounding in how I'll feel when the sleepless nights arrive 🤣

Have you had your iron levels checked?

Novella12 · 15/05/2022 15:23

@Regenbogen22 I don't think so - though I can't remember what was going to be tested when I had the first lot of blood taken at the booking in appointment

Your iron levels should have been checked on booking. Might be worth getting them checked again or just starting an iron supplement anyway to see if it helps.

@TeddyTonks thanks- I will ask if they were checked when I have my next appointment, and I've just ordered some supplements. Fingers crossed they help 🤞
