In need of some first pregnancy reassurance

Hi everyone!

I have just found out that I'm pregnant. I'm 4 weeks and 3 days at the moment and I am struggling to feel excited 🥹

I've been testing every day since finding out 6 days ago. My easy@home tests had great progression until 14DPO then I run out of them 🤣 I bought some CB digital with dates which today at 15DPo(4 wks pregnant) it's given me a 2-3 weeks. I also used the same pot of FMU to do an FRER which I will attach photos of.

I've got zero symptoms except a very mild pulling/crampy feeling low down on my left side and what feels like an abundance of energy 🤷‍♀️

I just need some advice/reassurance by people who have been through this!

How do I know I'm not experiencing ectopic pain?

How do I get through to my 8 week early scan without obsessing every day as to whether I'm still pregnant or not??

Thanks in advance ladies xxx

Hi @catlady10 I’m a couple of weeks ahead of you but feel exactly the same! I can’t offer any advice as I’m an anxious first time pregnancy too but wanted to let you know you’re not alone.

catlady10 · 15/05/2022 08:57

Thanks @PurpleSpottedLeopard it means a lot 🥰 I'm sorry you're feeling anxious 😥

It's so different to how I imagined it, I always thought I'd do a positive PG test and it would be all smiles and rainbows then a short time to wait until a scan 🤣

My DP is a massive worry wart too which isn't helping me. I know he just doesn't want us to get hurt but it's stealing my joy a little bit 🤦‍♀️ I'm desperate to tell me Mum and Sister and he's adamant we shouldn't tel anyone just yet! 🙄

How are you feeling otherwise? Have you told any family members? Xxx

that would not be mild pain

You keep busy, make sure you're doing the things you can do to support a healthy pregnancy - vitamins, enough folic acid, omega 3, exercise, fresh air, sleep. You also stop testing and avoid analysing every symptom or lack of symptoms!

Congrats!

2-3 weeks on a CB digital is correct for 4 weeks pregnant, as you have to add on the two weeks from the first day of your period to the 2-3, so it's saying you're 4-5 weeks.

It's really hard, I was a pee-on-a-stick addict in all of my pregnancies, but at the end of the day, you just have to tell yourself that you're pregnant until proven otherwise. Just take your folic acid, and one day at a time.

Good luck, and congratulations!

Congratulations OP. I had hardly any symptoms during the first trimester except a bit of nausea (I wasn't sick at all), I honestly thought I'd go into the scan and they'd tell me I dreamt the whole thing. Anyway, it was all fine! Just relax and enjoy your little secret!

catlady10 · 15/05/2022 09:23

@Regenbogen22 Thank you for that. It's all I've thought about since finding out and I know it's not healthy 🤦‍♀️ Xx

Thanks so much @Chocoqueen & @OwlNoisesInHerFace 🥰

I didn't realise that about the CB tests I thought as I'm 4wks it would say 3+ 🤣

I'm all stocked up on vitamins so I'm just going to take those every day and try and not think about it all for now. I've got so much going on at work at the moment which should keep me busy ☺️xx
