Can morning sickness come and go?

Hi,

I got some really reassuring responses last time I posted so I was hoping someone else had experienced this too. First time pregnancy and really not sure what’s normal and what isn’t!

I’m currently almost 7 weeks pregnant and woke up yesterday and today feeling completely fine. I’ve had really strong nausea most of the day since last Sunday, so for the 5 days prior. I was wondering if anyone else had had nausea come and go in early pregnancy?

Thank you very much for any replies.

@Worrier22 in my last pregnancy morning sickness would come and go, some days I would feel fine others bad! Then I hit about 8 weeks and it was HORRIFIC! Xxx

bogoblin · 14/05/2022 15:49

Fluctuating symptoms are TOTALLY normal, nothing to worry about.

Congratulations!

@Moosh18 and @bogoblin thank you so much for your replies. Its great to hear that other people felt the same.

Little update nausea is back this morning so I’m feeling a bit silly for worrying yesterday!

@Worrier22 I'm currently pregnant, 6+3 I think.... have a scan today due to some spotting, my sickness was so so bad yesterday and today it's really mild!! X

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 15/05/2022 08:59

@Moosh18 I hope that your scan goes well. I had one just over a week ago at about 5+5 for similar reasons and was so worried about it. I hope that you get good news.

Moosh18 · 15/05/2022 09:17

@PurpleSpottedLeopard oooh could you see much!? X

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 15/05/2022 10:34

@Moosh18 we were really lucky and could actually see a tiny flickering heart beat which I wasn’t expecting at all! It was an internal scan which wasn’t anywhere near as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. X

Moosh18 · 15/05/2022 10:35

@PurpleSpottedLeopard yeah mines external which is worrying me! X

HeyBlaby · 15/05/2022 10:35

Definitely yes! But for me almost completely disappeared about 11~12 weeks. Currently 24 weeks and all is good!

almostmummyof2 · 15/05/2022 20:03

I feel the same way OP! I've had horrible nausea up until last week which was week 9... so worried not feeling sick. I want it back for reassurance! I've heard a lot of people say hormones fluctuate - and this is what I would have told anyone else cos they really did in my first pregnancy! Hard not to worry though isn't it xxx

@HeyBlaby and @almostmummyof2 thank you so much for your replies. It’s really reassuring to know that other people felt the same.

@Moosh18 I hope that your scan went well.
