Pregnancy Hayfever... As if third trimester wasn't enough of a drag!

Hi all,

I'm currently 37 weeks and have got absolutely terrible hayfever, I actually had covid a few weeks ago and it was NOTHING in comparison to this. I can barely see out of my left eye, mu nose is running non-stop, I have an incredibly itchy throat and am absolutely exhausted. Apparently pregnancy hayfever is a thing, despite me not having suffered much with it in the past.

Have heard vaseline on my nose and wearing sunglasses may help, but have also been told I can't take antihistamines 😭Anyone have any other tips on how to manage it?!?!! (Other than to force baby out before they're ready... As tempting as that is becoming!! )

There are antihistamines you can take e.g. loratidine or cetirizine are considered ok in pregnancy

I tried every non medicated treatment I could find and nothing worked, I think it helps people with mild hayfever but people like us with severe hayfever nothing will work but antihistamines. Call your GP and they can recommend something, mine gave me loratadine. I also found a nasal spray that's suitable for pregnancy, beconase, I've not tried it yet but hoping I might be able to reduce my antihistamines with that
