How long did it take after booking in appointment to get your scan date?

Had my booking in appointment yesterday, and have been told I will get a scan date sent to be in a letter. Just curious how long it took you all to receive yours after the booking in appointment?

I got mine about a week later through the post. Couldn't make the date that they had given me so I rang up and they changed it there and then.

It must vary a lot between trusts. I filled out the self-referral form at 6 weeks, got a scan appointment in the post two days later, but didn't hear anything about a booking appointment for about another 3 weeks!

Also wondering this - based in West Yorks if anyone has any local knowledge!

I know my actual scan will be next week or the week after (I was told this much) so keen to get it to keep my diary clear.

They scan you at week 12 and week 20. In practice, my first scan was around week 14 (backlog, covid blah blah blah)

You'll get it in a few weeks.

I had my booking in appointment at 8 weeks and was asked to ring and book my 12 week scan the next day.

I had my booking appointment on Monday and the letter for my scan arrived a couple of days later. My scan is booked for 12w4d

Wow, that is late. I know there are huge waiting lists generally at the moment, which doesn’t help.

I’m 12 weeks next week, so I hope she was right that it will be within the next couple of weeks. 🤞

I got my phone call about my booking appointment at 6 weeks (scheduled at 9+6) and my dating scan letter came through at 6+3.

I got my scan appointment letter a couple weeks before I got my booking in appointment letter. Things must be a bit back to front here!
