Small tender ball shaped lump under areola at 31 weeks pregnant

I have a small, tender/slightly painful cyst like ball under my areola at the top. I’ve noticed around the edge of my areola, it’s quite sore

this started a few days ago, I’m 31 weeks pregnant. What could this be?

Could be a spot or ingrown hair. Is it red? I am 38w and getting skin tags on areola tissue, I am assuming the lump is more under the skin.

Obviously go get it checked by midwife or gp rather than dr mumsnet.

I woke up this morning and realised the pain isn’t only where that lump is, it’s around the circumference of my areola. Like tender, sharp nerve pain.
i have a feeling that it’s more to do with blood flow making them extremely sensitive to the point where it’s a bit painful, it only came on recently so I can only guess it’s something to do with me approaching the end of pregnancy and preparing for breast feeding
