Just wondered about anyone's experiences here. My friend has only lived in Newcastle for about a year as her dh is in the army and they were posted up from Salisbury. She is absolutely terrified!!!! Would like to reassure about the hospital (or re-advise if need be!!)

what was it like? Thing is she has a choice between that one and the really big hospital (forget the name!!) She is terrified about the whole thing so am going to try and calm her down a bit by some - hopefully - good experiences there!!

RVI is the other one - in the centre of newcastle - it is a big teaching hospital

I am giving birth at north tyneside again so it cant be that bad
I was n hospiotal some time before the birth and weeks after as ds spent time in SCBU
NT hospital used to have a less favourable reputation than RVi (it is smaller and less prestegious) but I found it fine and very friendly
