Two sacks

I went for an early scan this week due to some discomfort on one side. Should have been 6w5d. Sonographer saw two eggs, one with a yolk, one without. One measuring 6.5 and the other 6.3. Offered a scan next week to have a look again. Didn’t seem worried at all but I am just a little confused as to what to expect. Does anyone have similar experiences? I don’t really know what to think!

For a previous pregnancy, I was convinced I was 7 weeks along when I had my first scan. The Dr saw an empty sac that was measuring small for 7 weeks. She recommended I come back in a week for a follow up scan. She said either I’m losing the pregnancy or I’m less pregnant than I think and it was 50/50. At my next scan she could immediately see everything was fine, I just ovulated what late and was only 5 weeks along for the first scan. You have all my best wishes.

Twins, one developing slightly slower than the other one?
Could catch up and you'll carry twins or the smaller sac could be reabsorbed if it fails to develop.
I'm sure you'll find out much more at the next scan!

Thanks both. Gives me some time to get my head around both possibilities. I went in fearing for an ectopic and left with a whole different set of possibilities. Waiting game it is!

I had an early scan at 6 weeks 5 days and had 2 sacs with 2 fetal poles and heartbeats... which means twins!

What did your report say?
