Umbilical Granoula

Baby currently nearly 6 weeks old. Belly button not looking the best, doctor has said to put salt on it to heal it, I have done that, just wondering has anyone else tried it and what colour did the umbilical granoula change to

my oldest had one. Was starting to weep and bleed a little so at 8 weeks my gp used silver nitrate on it and it turned black and fell off a little later. It was fine after that.

Very common, may need silver nitrate and will heal just fine

I used the salt technique. it shrivelled and eventually went black i think like the rest of the stump and fell off.
