Very heavy period after pregnancy

Is it normal to have a heavy period first one after pregnancy, might is so much heavier than normal

@19annie86 mine was HORRIFIC! I hadn't had one in 8 months due to breast feeding, but when mine came oh my gosh! The first two days I had to change every hour! Was wearing a tampon and a sanitary pad! A maternity pad at night! X

Yes! I got caught out in M&S and had to buy new underwear and change in the fitting rooms.

Yes very normal but I'm hoping it doesn't last forever. I've had 4 periods since giving birth and can barely leave the house on the 2nd and 3rd days as it's so heavy. Hoping it eases off and goes back to normal soon!

If I go from a seated position to standing I can feel it start to flow, never seen one of my pads as full
