HELP WITH CONGESTION

MamaWingsIt · 06/05/2022 22:04

So fed up, so exhausted (12wks4days), so flippin congested.

Olbas oil packaging doesn't state whether or not it's safe. Congestion tablets and remedies are a no go. Steamy bowl of water just didn't work.

Tips before I crack? TIA

I use olbas oil nearly every night in pregnancy, was fine with DC 1 and doing the same again now as so stuffed up every night!

Sterimar spray is good

Breathe right strips? Bit uncomfortable but did the trick for me overnight

InvisibleDragon · 08/05/2022 09:33

We got a humidifier for the bedroom, which helped a lot after weeks of congestion.

Have you tried xtra strong mints (I can't stand the horrible chalky things) but my mam has constant sinus infections and swears by them to help her breath.

Neti pot / sinus rinse.
Breathe right nose strips at night to hold nasal passages open, they work a treat

Tillymint10 · 09/05/2022 19:13

As above I used the breathe right snoring strips - they certainly didnt solve the problem but made it more bearable! Id wear them constantly while I was in the house!

Saline spray like it was going out of fashion, not sure it actually helped but it certainly did psychologically!

Oh it’s the worse! I used a humidifier and vapo rub initially but I now use a boots own brand allergy nasal spray which has been recommended by my midwife.
