Fading lines 18 dpo

Hi,
I had a missed miscarriage in Jan and have been TTC for almost 2 years.
The last time we did the baby dance was 17th April, when I predicted ovulation just by EWCM.
I got a very faint line on clear blue on Wednesday morning, and then on First Response later in the day (early detection) and got a faint line too (first one in the picture). Then yesterday morning it was a little darker (second in picture) but today they’re fainter again.

i let myself get excited yesterday and I’m just all over the place now and devastated as my sister just told me she’s 7 weeks pregnant, unplanned.

has anyone had a good outcome with something like this??

Could be a chemical pregnancy - I got lines with first response that didn’t progress during my chemical pregnancy. Still got a positive result on first response when my
blood hcg level was only 5. Try testing again in a few days, fingers crossed x

Hi @JoKB unfortunately it's just a waiting game, you could test again but if you do, keep it to first thing in the mornings and stick with the same types of test. My lines faded in and out a bit at the very beginning but I stuck to testing every second day.

Thanks x
My fear is that I’m probably 18 dpo, when were yours fading in and out? Was is a successful pregnancy?

The first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at between 6 and 7 weeks. The second is currently kicking me inside....27 weeks.

But I'm talking about the tests that I did super early (too many and too soon). I think by 18dpo they were consistent and getting stronger in both 😕

Regenbogen22 · 06/05/2022 18:28

For 18dpo I would expect FRERs to be much darker, but there is the possibility that you ovulated later than you think.

JoKB · 06/05/2022 18:38

Yes, I did think that I could have ovulated late and implanted later but that’s still a push I think as it’s been 18 days?!
I’ll do another test and see - feeling very pregnant but I have a bad feeling 😥

Hi, if it feels ok to share, ho w did you get on? I’m currently 12dpo, faint line 10dpo, a smidgen darker 11dpo, and almost non existent today. recurrent CP/early miscarriage is a theme for me with no successful pregnancies. I feel like I'm
just waiting to miscarry now. I’m 37 and starting to feel hopeless.
Good luck on your journey 🧡

Hi, I’m sorry to hear this. It’s an awful feeling, especially after the hope and excitement of a line.

I lost that pregnancy - it was hard as it was my second loss this year and my sister told me she was pregnant (unplanned) the same day, I was a bit broken!

But good news - it was May 7 that I started bleeding, and on June 14 (I had delayed ovulation, I have PCOS so it’s all over the place) I got another BFP and it’s very strong this time!

I’m taking progesterone this time, I’ve been TTC for 2 years so have been prescribed it in the past and decided to take it again and it seems to have helped - maybe get an appointment and ask for a prescription for next month if this month doesn’t go your way, especially when this isn’t your first loss x

Ohhhh Congratulations that’s such wonderful news! I’ve been wondering about progesterone so will ask my GP once I’ve got through this, I don’t feel hopeful, such a strange experience “waiting” for the inevitable…
Thanks so much for replying and congratulations once again 🧡 xx

Roanna88 · 16/06/2022 10:08

Oh actually, if you don’t mind me asking, did they test you for low progesterone or prescribe just to see if it helps?

JoKB · 16/06/2022 10:31

They just prescribed it - it’s recommended for recurrent losses. If one doctor doesn’t give it to you, go somewhere else! I used to live in Dubai And they prescribe it very routinely. Best of luck xx
