Abidec dosage for newborn please?

Hello Mums
My daughter was born at 36+6 weeks. At the day of discharge she was prescribed with 0.6 ml of Abidec and 1 ml of iron daily for 12 months. But on Abidec pack it is mentioned babies under 1 year age should be given 0.3 ml. I raised this concern with HV and she checked and told as she is EBF, hence double dose for her. I have given 0.6 ml to her till yesterday one pharmscist said it is very higher dose for baby and was not ready to sell it to us.
Anybody here who was prescribed 0.6 ml of Abidec daily for newborn?

36+6? Slightly odd. Those dosages (0.6ml abidec and 1ml sytron) sound right for a breastfed preterm baby, but 36+6 is very near to term.

@nocoolnamesleft Yes , i am really worried. Should i keep giving iron n multivitamin or not.
I know 0.3 ml is the correct dosage.

My twins were born at 36+6 and were never prescribed abidec. They are now 2 and take a multivitamin when I remember…
I thought abidec and sytron were normal for premies, but it’s technically only one day prem.

@HappySoulMe I think you really need to contact a healthcare professional - paediatrician or the prescribing doctor in the hospital to check what to do 🙂

@nocoolnamesleft I did ask them but they said dosage is correct

@Rrrunrunrunrunrun Were yiu twins breastfed or formula? I am asking this because i got this reason that as she is exclusive breastfed so higher dosage.
