hey, I’m a mess of emotions, anxiety, and tears.

after months of metformin and clomid im finally pregnant :). Had a scan yesterday and was told I’m late in to week 4 early 5 week seen the sac, and midwife said the gold sac was starting to form but not 100% and no baby - had HCG bloods taken they came back at 4958 and got another blood test tomorrow.

but I’ve been doing the dreaded CB digital tests and they are driving me insane - 2 tests this week 2-3 then this morning 3+ And just now back to 2-3!!

is that because the wee isn’t strong enough with HCG I don’t know but I’m ready how people have seen a yolk sac at 4-5 weeks and I’m here panicking so much about tomorrows bloods and if they have risen then another scan.

i can’t talk to the hubby as he’s being strong for me and won’t break, he’s amazing for that but I’m just so emotional!!

pls tell me if anyone else has been in this situation ā¤ļø

Stop doing those bloody CB weeks tests, they make everyone crazy. And of course if you do a test this morning with stronger urine it will show something different than one done this afternoon!!

4 weeks is too early to see much anyway, also depends on the scanning method and the sonographer. Whatever is in there is also freaking tiny and it could well be that one day that can't see a baby, and a few days later they can. Well, an embryo!!

You're having more blood tests tomorrow and you, nor anyone else, can know anything before those results come in.

The sac is there and in the right place, it's not ectopic, HCG levels are high. Stop worrying, try to relax, do something to take your mind off things and distract yourself.

Are the pg tests showing you're not pregnant?

Trace0412 · 05/05/2022 15:07

Your right your so freakin’ right!!

my head goes in overdrive And I just make 100000 scenarios happen at once, I’m trying to distract with Netflix while I wait for tomorrow and then if hcg has upped a scan again next week I know we found out super early!!

thank you for telling it straight I need it šŸ™šŸ½šŸ™šŸ½

Oh yes all 14 of them 🤣 but I had an early scan and there was just a sac but I am very very early they said they are doing bloods as a precaution for miscarriage or ectopic but I’m not bleeding, cramping, just a few niggles which is expected I have sickness, night sweats, and the most sore nipples that feel like razor blades!!

this waiting game is the worst and CB does not help! X

I once got a 2-3 and 3+ with the same sample of urine. Honestly, they're not reliable indicators of progression only that currently you are pregnant. Chill. What will be will be.

I know it's really hard but you've got strong pg symptoms, and positive tests. Moat women have a scan at 12 weeks at the earliest. Try to stay positive, my pg after my mc was going to be my last one whatever happened due to various factors and I just decided I had to relax into it and enjoy it, no matter what.
Positive thoughts for your best scan and for a healthy pg and baby.

Libmama · 05/05/2022 16:22

I had a scan at 6+3. The baby was so tiny (5mm) she really struggled to measure it and that’s two weeks ahead of you. I really wouldn’t worry about not being able to see anything at 4 weeks. 😊
