I have noticed a few times that I have been taking dizzy turns, it's only happened twice and for a few seconds but it feels like I'm going to pass out. I'm 19 weeks pregnant, is this normal?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Some women can get dizzy during pregnancy but if this is brand new to you then I’d contact your midwife/ doctor to get checked over.
Have you been busy and active lately?
Make sure you’re drinking plenty and resting!

@Hiddenvoice thank you for this. No it's not even when I've been active, I work in an office and I was just sitting at my desk and it happened. I've read it can be low blood pressure but I'm actually on tablets to stop high blood pressure so I assume that it wouldn't be that x

It can actually be a sign of high and low blood pressure. I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for years bur pregnancy naturally lowers blood pressure so mine had
dropped too low so I came off all medication until later in the pregnancy.
Do you have a blood pressure monitor to check at home?

@Hiddenvoice oh really, that's interesting, do u think it could be that? That because I'm on tablets to lower blood pressure it's dropping too low ? I don't unfortunately which is annoying I wish I did x

It might be but I’d definitely contact your midwife/gp and let them know how are you feeling.
My blood pressure remained low until week 37 so I was given a blood pressure monitor and checked my readings daily. Any high or very low readings I sent to my midwife.

@Hiddenvoice okay thank you so much for the advice, I'll give them a phone just now xx

Hopefully they will get you checked over and you won’t have anymore dizzy spells!

It is normal within certain bounds, but if you’re on blood pressure medication you should definitely have a conversation with your midwife or GP about it and start monitoring.
