Had my first scan today at 15+5 and told baby has Gastroschisis, and I am just to wait for a call of a consultant to arrange a scan to see the severity etc.
I'm already worrying especially not knowing how long it'll be before someone contacts me. So if anyones babies have been through this I have a few questions.
Did you have a natural vaginal delivery?
What week was baby born and was this natural labour or was you induced?
Was baby healthy when born other than the Gastroschisis?
How soon did they have an operation?
Could you hold them?
How long did they stay in hospital?
Are there any longer lasting effects of it?
What does it look like now after the operation? Is there much scarring etc?
Sorry for all the questions need to put my mind at ease 😢
