ASDA pregnancy tests

Hi everyone, first post so hopefully it's in the correct place Smile

Been TTC baby number 2 and have been tracking my cycles. According to Flo I'm 2 days late, though my cycles can be quite irregular.

Just had 2 very very faint lines on cheap ASDA tests, then read the reviews online for ASDA tests which aren't great.

I'm going to take a digital test tomorrow, was just wondering if anyone had any experiences of these ASDA tests? I've had all of my usual time of the month symptoms but been extra tired and a funny taste in my mouth so fingers crossed, just don't want to get my hopes up too much.

I think you're preggers, OP! Congrats. AFAIK false negatives are far more likely than false positives.

I've used an Asda test - it was fine, showed correctly as negative (in my case what I wanted as my baby days are done!)

Thank you, I'm still not convinced with the very faint lines but I guess a digital test should tell me all I need to know!! Wink

I've used those tests and got that faint a line but only when testing a few days before missed period. Anything from the day of missed period onwards I got strong lines. The one time I tested when I was late and got a faint line I went on to have my period which was extra heavy so I suspect it was a chemical pregnancy. I'm not saying this is the same for you, maybe you've ovulated a bit later in your cycle. I would test again tomorrow and you should expect to see some progression in the darkness of the line.

Yes, I suspected this may be the case too as my cycles are so irregular! Fingers crossed for tomorrow Smile

Congratulations OP I got a similar faint line with DS but it was far clearer on a FRER and I also got 1-2 weeks on a digital (I never believe it until I see it in words)

super nervous , i had an ectopic pregnancy last year and am due on in 2 days , I did a asda cheapie today and got this result , do you think it is an evap line ? X

I used them with both of my pregnancies and the lines you've got are exactly what showed with mine. I'd say they're not as responsive as more expensive ones so you'll probably get a much darker line when you retest with a different brand. Congrats!

Try a FRER.

@colleydonna52 all your tests seem to have a dye bleed? Are you dipping them? It’s very hard to tell if there’s a line or excess dye

Maybe faulty tests then. Maybe try a different brand ?

@colleydonna52 all your tests are showing dye runs, so it is not possible to say if they're positive or negative.

Can you get another brand? I know it's disappointing for you. I hope you get the result you want.

Hey girls, i was just wondering if anyone could help me out? Ive done a test this morning just had a feeling i should and ive had one come up straight away with a faint line. So did another one and it ws negative as far as i could see? Does anyone trust these asda tests? If anyone could have a look at photos attached id appreciate that! Thankyou xx

Hi need some help these are both out of Asda own pregnancy tests. These were took this morning

can someone please tell me if these are negative or positives as I can see a line but know these tests can give false positives.

i took a clear blue early detection about an hour ago and it was negative but not sure if that can be because I’ve drank a couple bottles of water today

So I did a Asda cheapie as going out tonight and my period was late… is this legit people have said not to trust the Asda cheapie ones so now I don’t know what to think!
