Pregnant pls help.Had CT scan 1 day before missed period

Hello. I had CT scan done 2 days ago. I mentioned to the doctor who ordered the scan that I am TTC. He said they have done pregancy test and that came back negative.
Today after I got discharged from the hospital I 've done pregancy test and its positive ,line appeared straight away and digital clear blue shows 1-2 weeks pregnant. My period should have arrived yesterday. I am very very worried. I am crying all day. We tried for the baby for 3 years and it happens now.

Does anyone know the risks or have been in this situation ?

I had one when unknowingly pregnant with my DD. It was focused on my head as i had really bad sinusitis at the time. I then took a pack of steroids to treat it. Neither impacted my DD. Worth checking with your doctor though, especially if the CT location was focused on your abdominal region

Mine was also a Head CT

I had to have a CT scan at 36 weeks as they thought I had a blood clot. They made me sign some forms to say that I understood there was a very small risk to baby but also made it very clear that i needed the scan. He's now 3 and fine!

I also had a CT scan (suspected blood clot ) when pregnant with my son who Is now a healthy 10yo but this was at about 25 weeks .

However at 3/4 weeks when all the cells multiplying at very fast rate I am so so worried that some damage have been done .

I guess time will tell but I will be worrying all 9 months .

@Pregnantandvworried I found out that i was pregnant at 5-6 weeks so it must have been around 3-4 weeks in that I had the CT scan. The good thing is that it was localised to your head. When I told my pregnancy team about the scan they were more worried as to the reason for the head scan than the fact that i'd had one, i.e. was it for seizures/a potential tumour. When they found out it was sinusitus they were immediately unconcerned. I know everything when pregnant is a worry, but once you see your scans at 12/20 weeks, you'll feel better as they are quite detailed. Also, if you are worried you can do private scans in between, a lot seem to do them and they aren't too expensive if you need peace of mind. Good luck!

Just and update in case it's useful to anyone searching in future ..

I had a missed miscarriage, the heartbeat stopped at 6.5 weeks and today I went for a surgery at 9.5 weeks .
The gynecology Doctor said he is almost sure it was not caused by the CT scan but we will never know for sure.
