Hoping try and make sense of the current situation I'm in. This is my 1st Pregnancy. No known fertility issues.
Positive ovulation test on 29/3, likely ovulate following day.
Positive test on 11/4
Bleeding and abdominal pain on 18/4, scan on 19/4 negative for any sign of pregnancy but likely to early in any instance. HCG tested and 84.
Second HCG tested 2 days later on 21/4 and levels dropped to 52. Fully prepared for miscarriage and had come to terms with this.
Third HCG test on 28/4, expected to see levels dropped but to mine and hospitals surprise they have increased to 118. Scan still not showing anything tubes and ovaries appear clear but again suggested I'm likely still too early. Hospital can't explain this and won't commit to giving us an explanation, all outcomes still possible including everything being okay, but we know this would be a miracle at this stage and pretty much ruled that out.
Really confused at the moment, ectopic seems most likely, but also read blighted ovum, vanishing twin etc. Having further bloods done in 2 days.
Has anyone had any similar experiences and what was the result?
At this point I'm just hoping not ectopic, but seems more and more likely.
