5 weeks 5 days spotting?

hi girls,

i had an early scan on monday and the sonographer measured me at 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant and was happy that she could see both the gestational and yolk sac but no fetal pole, she said that’s expected at the estimated gestation and have booked me in for a rescan on the 5th may.

the night of my internal ultrasound i began bleeding (not to heavily) but i would say i half soaked a pad in a few hours.
i woke up the following morning to no active bleeding but dried blood/brown blood on wiping.

i attended my epu where they took my bloods and sent them off for my HCG to be checked and i am going back tomorrow for a repeat blood test. they also did a cervical examination where the gynaecologist informed me that I was no longer bleeding and my cervix was closed which were good signs.

i returned home and in the evening i began getting pink/red blood when wiping again, sometimes it’s brighter and more more of it that other times but ive been wearing a pad just in case but that’s not marking it’s only on wiping and after two wipes it’s gone but it’s every time.

i should add ive had no passing of clots or tissue.
has anyone experienced anything similar - positive or negative outcomes, my mind is only thinking the worse as it is x

Hello! I don't necessarily have the answers but didn't want to leave you worrying as I have been where you are and it's a horribly anxious time.
Hopefully your HCG levels come back looking good and it will bring you some relief! But I just wanted you to know that bleeding isn't always a bad sign and I wish I'd have been told that. I am currently 24 weeks into my second pregnancy and have bled in both.
With my first pregnancy (my son), I bled almost weekly between 4/5 weeks and 13 weeks of pregnancy, looking very similar to your photos. Unfortunately this pregnancy ended in a TFMR at 33 weeks BUT this was in no way related to the bleeding at the start of the pregnancy (it was discovered I had a genetic condition that I'd passed onto him).
With this pregnancy my little girl is so far healthy, but I still bled on maybe 3 occasions between around 8 weeks and 14 weeks. Internal scans can sometimes cause a bit of irritation I believe.
It's such a worrying time, but you have done everything you should do by getting yourself checked, good luck to you 💖
