When did you stop taking aspirin before an elective c-section

As the title says

first consultant (who put me on 150mg aspirin at week 15) said to continue till giving birth

another consultant who I saw 3 weeks ago said to stop at week 37

and doctor today (not sure if it was a constant or registrar) said to stop 2-3 days before the elective c-section.

Different advice by 3 doctors what to do?

when did you stop?

Thank you in advance

I haven’t had direct experience but I would follow the advice of the the third consultant/registrar as presumably they were advising with an imminent C-section in mind.

if you have the phone number for your consultant give their secretary a call and ask them to clarify with the consultant.

37 weeks is when you should stop, there are risks involved in taking it too close to birth I'm sure. Worrying you've had such differing opinions

37 weeks (previously had pre eclampsia and had planned c section at 39 weeks).

Thank you for the replies. So stop when week 37 starts or at 37+6?

The c-section is planned at 39+6 as there were no dates before.

Yes very worrying I’ve had different opinions.

Think everyone is different so would check but my consultant told me to stop taking at 36 weeks last weeks that’s for vaginal or c section as my baby is breech and we don’t know if he’s going to turn or not xx

I stopped at the start of week 37

I’ve been told to take aspirin until the end and if I have a CS that I only need to stop taking it one day ahead. I might have to question that now!

I was in hospital for 10 days before elective csection and the anaesthetist said to take it right up until the day before section. The only reason she said not to take it the morning of was because I'd have an empty tummy.
