Hi ladies 🥰 currently pregnant with my second, I had my 12 week scan 2 weeks ago and am yet to receive my results letter. I seem to remember getting them much sooner than this in my first pregnancy but that was pre-covid. Just wondered roughly when anyone else has received theirs as don’t want to chase my midwife too soon if this is normal! Thank you xx

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

@Kalinaa is this for the blood results for Down syndrome etc ? Xx

Lijay · 26/04/2022 18:03

@Kalinaa I had my 12 weeks scan 2 weeks ago today and also haven't had the results yet. At the time the sonographer said it would take 2 weeks so I'm going to chase my midwife when it gets to 3. 🤞 Hope you get yours soon!

Took about 10 days for mine to come through via post but they said they would call within 2 days if there was anything to worry about

Kalinaa · 26/04/2022 19:09

@babybump1x yeah that’s the one!
@Lijay ahh thats good to know at least your sonographer advised that! Thank you, hope you get yours soon too 💕

@Kalinaa I got mine taken at 12 weeks and was told it would take 2 weeks to come back but I never got mine back until I was 16 and a half weeks, was such a nightmare I was getting really stressed about it but when I phoned my midwife she said normally if it was high risk it would come back quicker than usual, hopefully you get them soon xx

Kalinaa · 26/04/2022 19:18

@wishuponastar1988 thank you for this!
@babybump1x oh my god what a nightmare and so stressful!! I’m glad you got them back eventually but must have been a such a difficult wait. I’ve had a few issues this time round too, my bloods went missing twice so had to have them retaken, then I never received a letter for my 12 week scan - luckily I had been booked in after I chased the midwife but the letter never turned up. I know the nhs is so stretched but it does make you anxious xx

Can't remember for my first, but for my second it was within two days, because it was bad news. Take it as good news if you don't hear soon 😊

frenchie4002 · 26/04/2022 19:39

I’m on week 4 with no results still! Midwife said nothing to worry about just delays and that hospitals are generally very good at contact much sooner if results were alarming x

babybump1x · 26/04/2022 21:30

@Kalinaa oh my god that sounds like you've had a nightmare !! I had actually thought they'd misplaced my bloods aswell because of how long I waited but seems to just be a back log just now. That's a shame, hopefully things will start to go smoother for you now xxx

SareBear87 · 27/04/2022 16:15

I had my dating scan yesterday and bloods. Both sonographer and HCA said if the bloods come back as high risk I'll be called within 3-5 days, if it's low risk I'll get a letter in the next 2-3 weeks.

They definitely reinforced the "no news is good news!"

I'm sure it's good news if you haven't been called x

OP if you have the badger app they will be on there.
