Vanishing breast pain at 6 weeks

Hi! I'm currently 6w4d. I had an early scan last week as I had a previous ectopic but the gestational sac (although in the right place) was empty. This alone didn't worry me too much as I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy (resulting in DD).

However, all my breast pain has completely vanished. They were previously lumpy/hard and now feel soft and back to their pre preg size. Almost like they've been deflated! This happened when my ectopic miscarried naturally so I'm feeling super worried now.

I've had no other pregnancy symptoms other than cramping which has been ongoing since we conceived. No bleeding either.

I've got a scan next week but waiting is absolutely killing me!

Help please. Any similar experiences?

Mine completely stopped hurting with my DD they hurt really badly before period was due! Then stopped about a week after! And they didn't hurt again the whole pregnancy!!! X

This happened to me too and everything was fine - I think symptoms and hormones fluctuate. Hope all’s well for you x

Thank you both for replying and sharing your experiences. I really hope everything will be okay for me too.

I'm bang on the same dates as you, also with a previous ectopic. My boobs were so sore last week I couldn't stand under the shower stream, today they're back to normal. I had some v mild nausea as well and it's gone today.

Finding it really difficult to cope with the anxiety at the moment too. Fingers crossed for both of us x

TheCraicDealer I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling anxious too! Its horrible - I just want this first 12 weeks over so I can breathe again.

I started to have a little bit of soreness back in my nips last night but overnight all gone again.

Have you booked an early scan? I've got one Tuesday.

Keeping my fingers crossed for us both too x

Yes, I had one at the EPU last Friday due to my history. The sense of relief when they said the pregnancy was in the right place was immense! I hope it's the same for you. The yolk sac was visible and the sonographer pointed out "and there is the pregnancy starting to develop", but no mention of measurements or fetal pole which has me stressed out now I've had the time to mull it over and read mumsnet threads.

Have another EPU scan on 16 May, but it seems like a long time between now and then. I have a work trip and a visit to see family planned in the meantime, so that's putting me off going for a private scan in case it's bad news.

They could tell that I ovulated from the side where I lost my tube in September, so this little one already feels like a bit of a miracle to me.

Are you also walking about the house today groping your boobs like one of the ladies off BabeStation?

@LSM could I just ask as I'm worrying myself sick, I'm 2 days off period and have a bfp for two days.... I have period pain and feels like I'm going to come on, I'm so worried having had mcs before I can't face it again 😩😩

Period type pains are really common in early pregnancy. I’m 14 weeks now but throughout my entire pregnancy, I’ve had the feeling that I’m about to come on my period. A really heavy feeling in my stomach, cramping, back ache. Spoke to the midwife, she told me early pregnancy feels like you’re on your period or about to come on your period, most of the time. Put my mind at rest!

Moosh18 · 27/04/2022 13:38

@DangerouslyBored thank you so much for this xxxx

LSM · 27/04/2022 14:11

@Moosh18 completely agree with @DangerouslyBored. I've had cramping with all three of my pregnancies (Inc this one). The only time I got stressed about the cramps was with the very sharp pain I got with my ectopic. Congrats on your bfp!

@TheCraicDealer I certainly am walking around groping my boobs 😂..driving myself insane! Your scan will be here before you know it. And that's incredible - it sounds like this is your little miracle so hoping for good news all round x

@TheCraicDealer do you mind my asking if everything was ok? I am in a similar situation.

TheCraicDealer · 07/01/2024 09:09

Hi Georgia- on this occasion I had another missed miscarriage. However I fell pregnant again in Sept 2022 and am now just after fighting with my 8mos old (George, ironically!!) to take his bottle.

With that successful pregnancy my symptoms did still ebb and flow, so please do not take what happened to me as a sure sign that something isn’t right. Wishing you all the best, I know how stressful it is Flowers
