I think I’m having a chemical pregnancy 😞

Hello 👋🏻 I’m new here. So, I did a pregnancy test on Friday and it was positive, did another on Saturday morning and it was positive. I then started to have a little light pink bleeding on Saturday night, no cramps. I put a pad on overnight just in case but it was clean in the morning, however every time I wiped there was a little more blood and it was getting redder, and little cramps were starting.

By the afternoon, the cramps were strong and the bleeding was redder and heavier. I went to a&e and they did a urine test and it was still positive so they did a blood test which came back as 600 HCG, so they are testing again tomorrow to see if they are increasing as they should. But I just feel like I’m on my period now, not as heavy as I would normally be but it’s the cramps, they are really bad. I just would like to know of anyone who has had similar to me. Thank you 😊 xx

Hi @EstelleK88 sorry you're going through this. It does sound like a chemical or very early miscarriage, I'm not entirely sure which term one uses and when.

How many DPO are you, or how many weeks would you have been? Was your period due this weekend anyway?

Well this is where it’s complicated, my last period was 23rd February, I didn’t have one in March (due 26th) did 2 tests and they were negative so had blood tests done to check my hormones, but I think I conceived around 10th April, I had a light pink bleed around a week after that which I can only assume now was implantation xx

Hi, that's strange that you skipped a period but weren't pregnant. But stranger things happen in the TTC journey! I think you just have to wait for the HCG blood test tomorrow, that should give you a clear answer.

Hi! May I ask how did it go at the end? I am having a similar issue. Tested posi6 a few days back now I'm pretty sure I lost my oregn6 because I don't have any symptoms. I'm waiting to test tomorrow. This is my second pregnancy and first one also ended up in miscarriage. Very similar to this one :(
