Just as above , has anyone used Kendamil formula and if so how did you get on with it please?

In due in about 6 weeks and have been looking at what formula to go with

1st baby I used ampamil but when I think back by baby often had reflux so wanted to maybe try something different

I know all babies get on with different formula differently, but just curious!

Thank you 😊

Hey, I’m also due in 6 weeks and just wanted to say I’ve heard really good things about Kendamil organic so will be putting my baby on this :) I’ve bought 2 tubs to get me started, won’t buy more just in case I need to swap at all. I’ve also bought the new little hospital bottles they are doing, they aren’t organic but will be fine for just a day or two (hopefully) in hospital with baby.

@Seabreeze2 thank you for your reply 🙂 like you I think I'm going to buy a few tubs and see how I get on! I've also seen the ready made ones in tesco so think I shall get them to for the hospital!

Feeling so much more unorganised this time around 🤦‍♀️

From what I can tell, I think Kendamil only do follow-on milk and not breastmilk replacement. I was looking into using them as I'm pregnant now and when my baby comes I'm thinking about combi-feeding but I don't think they do one suitable from birth. Happy to be corrected if anyone knows any different!

I used Kendamil for my son until he was 1 year old. I can not recommend it enough!

Unlike other formulas it smells nice and doesn't taste awful with chemicals until others.

It really suited my son, he never had constipation, or really bad wind. A tip is instead of shaking, swill it round to cause less bubbles.

Also as it is made in the UK, when shortages happen with the eu, you can always get it.

I'm expecting my second in September and so happy they now do the re-made bottles. I can't wait to use it again!

They absolutely do first infant milk too! All the adverts will be for follow on milk cause they're not allowed to advertise first milk. But they definitely do it from birth.

Op I've been thinking of putting DC2 on this, not born yet but doing my research! I've seen lots of reviews saying reflux improved on this milk and my first baby was quite refluxy on aptamil so im interested in trying something else!

RSmamaa · 25/04/2022 14:06

We used kendamil and he loved it. We wary they don't stock ready made anywhere so you will need to be prepared to make bottles outside of the house which can be a pain. I just love that it's veggie and uk based too!

Thank you all! Definitely going to give this a go I think !

Oh brill thank you! I checked in Sainsburys today but could only see the follow on ones, do you know which supermarkets stock the from birth one by any chance?

Seabreeze2 · 25/04/2022 16:08

By me the from birth ones always sell out really quickly.. there’s always a sold out tag so I think it’s just a case of checking and stocking up as frequently as you can. Boots and Tesco both sell the organic first milk. Or you can order directly from the Kendamil website.

It does concern me slightly that they are quite hard to get hold of and get sold out so quickly. But definitely trying my baby with Kendamil following all the positive reviews x

Herejustforthisone · 25/04/2022 16:10

It’s the best one as it smells nice as they use Jersey cream. They’re all much of a muchness but I truly believe it’s the best.

Hallibob · 25/04/2022 22:13

@emmajane90 I saw it in our sainsburys the other day, but just the organic version which is a little bit more expensive. Tescos do it and as PP said you can sign up for a regular delivery from the Kendamil website!

JennyForeigner · 25/04/2022 22:30

It's expensive and can be hard to get hold of (often sold out in the new supermarket stockists) but genuinely worth the hype. Our eldest was bf then very colicky following enormous antibiotic load and weaned on to kendamil as the only milk that didn't hurt his tummy/levitate him from pure fart power.

We've since had enormous hungry twins, and rapidly had to switch on to kendamil again.

Recommend for the free post direct delivery standing order. We go through 12 cans a month - helpful to have them just turn up.

RSmamaa · 26/04/2022 19:46

From everyone saying they sell out quickly, this is true but you can get a subscription of monthly deliveries. We did it and never had to worry about it

zeromango · 26/04/2022 23:41

We love it! My son is healthy and thriving (he's nearly 4 months now) the ready made bottles are a total pain to find unfortunately (you can buy the tiny newborn ready made feed for hospital on their website - but not the 200ml) but they're great too.

The milk smells and tastes delicious (yes I've tried it 🤣)

It can be bubbly so we swirl it gently or use a sterilised teaspoon to help with that. Their anti colic formula is amazing. Unfortunately out of stock at the moment due to production issues so we're using the classic kendamil with infacol. You can get it on subscription too which works out loads easier.
