Anyone have been through the same what happens now? I've seen a midwife for booking appointment and told her I had a coil fitted in January she wrote it in my notes but said nothing else about it.
I'm roughly 9 weeks.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I was sent to early pregnancy unit and scanned a number of times to rule out ectopic. They could not locate the coil so I was scanned again. It was found to have perforated my uterus. I eventually had surgery whilst pregnant to remove it. It was connected to my bowel.
Pregnancy and birth were the straightforward. I would not have continued the pregnancy had I not known exactly where the coil was and what it was doing to me inside.

Thank you for reply I've not been offered a scan or anything the midwife said to talk to the consultant when I get my appointment with them. I think I'm going to contact the gp who fitted my coil in January and see what she says.
