I'm 23+4 days pregnant I woke up this morning with a mild headache that came and went as it pleased thought nothing of it, now I've had a throbbing headache for about 5 hours now and a constant mild pain in my stomach it's early hours in the morning (4am) so can't call my midwife It's stopping me from been able to get any sleep, I can also feel my baby moving more than usual could this be a sign of something serious?

I wouldn't take any chances OP. Ring NHS Direct to give them an outline of your symptoms? X

bebarkered · 24/04/2022 04:15

Have a look on babycentre.co.uk under 'baby symptoms you should never ignore'

Definitely ring 111, could be pre-eclampsia especially combined with the headache symptom.
Hope it gets better soon!

Call your maternity triage number and they may ask you to pop in!

KangarooKenny · 24/04/2022 07:19

Have you taken any painkillers, and if so, did it get rid of the headache ?

bebarkered · 24/04/2022 11:38

How are you feeling?

strawberrysummer19 · 24/04/2022 12:02

Maternity triage asap

Never leave anything like this unchecked

Best to be on the safe side

I've gone in twice for reduced movement and once called 111 for headache blurred vision and went to a&e - hate feeling like I'm wasting their time but I never regret walking out of there feeling more reassured- they are always so nice and would prefer you call

Hope it's subsided and you've called in x

I managed to finally get some sleep I've woken up and feel a little better my headache has gone, I've still got a mild pain in the stomach which comes and goes I'm thinking its growing pains, I've messaged my midwife and I'm going to see her tomorrow morning to measure my blood pressure fingers crossed it's not to high

sorry to jump on this post! I’m 30 weeks +4. Tonight I feel like my baby hasn’t stopped for the last 2 hours which isn’t like him, movement is usually a lot less. I rang the Maternity assessment unit and they told me not to worry, more movement isn’t a concern only less movement- anyone had any experience with baby moving more being a concern?
