Any other women who suddenly became interested in cleaning during pregnancy?

I was never all that interested in cleaning and what not, but now I find it so satisfying. I crave the smell of laundry detergents and dettol too.
has anybody else had this?

Well first, don’t inhale cleaning products when pregnant as that can do nasty things to your body.

Second, I do know what you mean! When I was in late pregnancy suddenly everything looked filthy. A midwife told me lots of women go into labour doing DIY or weird cleaning activities. It’s the human nesting instinct basically.

i also get it about 5 days before my period arrives 🤷‍♀️ My cycle is very irregular but I can kinda predict when it’ll start because I’ll find myself doing something veeerrry strange like trying to vaccum inside the tumble drier filter area.

The only time I inhale any fumes from cleaning products is if I’m using them to clean but that isn’t all that often. I shan’t stick it right under my nose and get a good snort because that would be silly of me haha

that is so crazy, I thought I was the only one. That’s how I see things nowadays, I suddenly care about the toilet smelling fresh and looking shiny!
do you reckon it’s due to the strenuous activity of scrubbing and cleaning or the chemicals could induce something?

i run the vacuum around the rim of the bed to get all the fluff and dust off, there’s barely anything there but it’s so satisfying lol
