Chemical pregnancy? Send help!

Hello ladies,
I did a FR 13 DPO and got 2 very faint lines. Squinters and could only see them in certain light. It's been a week and I tested clear blue and got 2 negatives. I then tested FR digital and it said pregnant on FMU this morning. I've followed with a FR early test and again a very faint line, almost lighter than original tests. Still no period. 7 days late. Is this normal? Do you think this is a chemical? According to the app I would be 5 weeks and 1 day pregnant.

Hi - a faint positive and no period means there is certainly hope, but probably only time will tell now. I would give it a few more days before testing again to see if you can get a stronger result. Otherwise the only clear way is to have regular blood tests to see if hcg levels go up or down, but not sure your gp will approve that at this stage.
The main thing is that you can conceive, so if it turns out to be chemical then at least you should be able to get pregnant.

I can.just about see a very faint greyish line, but yes, at 5 weeks one would expect to see more.

Has anyone experienced this? If a chemical, when would I expect to start to bleed?

Hello, I too got some faint lines on tests which don’t seem to be getting stronger, if anything they are getting fainter. I personally think a chemical Pregnancy but I know my boyfriend doesn’t think a test is positive unless the line is a lot clearer.
what’s peoples opinions pleasssse 🤷‍♀️
p.s. I took test the day after the 12dpo one and the faint line had disappeared.

Have you tried doing a test with your first wee in the morning?

They we’re all taken after work, but I have a very physical job so my urine is always dehydrated when I finish work 😅 today I’m testing negative so guessing I either wasn’t pregnant or had a chemical pregnancy.. even though I know I’m now not pregnant I find it super frustrating that I will never really know 😫

I'd say test in the morning if you can.

I had a chemical last October. Period arrived a few days after the lines started to fade - about a week after it would have been originally due.

Currently 14 weeks pregnant, so if it doesn't stick, please don't give up hope!

I've just jumped back on. How was it turned out for you @Becboo88?

I since then had 4 negative tests. I went to the doctors. They scheduled a scan and bloods. Nothing could be seen in scan and bloods were 2 HCG. So not pregnant. No bleeding yet :(

I feel like I’m in the same boat!
period due last Friday 29/04 but never arrive Monday 02/05 I did a clear blue how many weeks and it came back pregnant 1-2 weeks but stupidly I did tests again Wednesday and today and some faint positives and some negative digitals, doctors have got my in for full bloods tomorrow to check everything but this would be my first and I don’t know what to do!
no bleeding, no real pain in stomach, no shoulder pain. Typical pregnancy symptoms, missed period, sore boobs, hungry, peeing a lot, fatigue! I’m not positive my bloods will come back okay but it would be amazing if they did😔

This happened to me lots of times before I had my first. There is hope!

I don’t have my blood test until today, don’t know if they’ll process it quicker as it’s down as urgent bloods and doctors have put possibly ectopic pregnancy on it

@Jenni1991 had my bloods yesterday and results yesterday evening, doctor rang me before bloods came back and said he’s pretty sure I’m having a miscarriage, bloods came back and he said my hcg is low but not as low as he expected it to be but still thinks I’m having a miscarriage, I started bleeding yesterday morning but the bleeding isn’t as heavy as my normal period, no clots or anything and period cramps have gone today and bleeding slowed down, he wants me to redo a pregnancy test in 5-7 days, also they’ve not offered me any form of ultrasound so I just don’t know what to do :(

@Chanmoore that must be so confusing for you. I had a transvaginalscab yesterday to check if everything cleared as my bleeding was very light!
Could you get a private scan for peace of mind?

@Jenni1991 i wouldn’t know where to start to get a private scan especially a transvaginal one as I’d of only been 4w 6d today, I don’t know whether to contact my doctors in the morning and see if they’ll refer me to the EPU near me for a scan as if I ring them they won’t do it, thank you and I’m sorry you’ve been through the same
