Hi, just wondering if anyone has experienced this at a very early ultrasound. I had a scan today at around 6 weeks (I think probably a few days less than 6 weeks) and they located a yolk sac in the correct place (they were checking for ectopic). Currently they couldn’t see a fetal pole so I have to go back in a week. They also noticed ‘multiple irregular cystic spaces’ in the upper cavity of the endometrium, so the next scan will be with a consultant so he can check. I’d had a scan a week prior and there’d not been anything to see (other than what has now been confirmed as the gestational sac).
I’m freaking out a bit as the sonographer mentioned molar when I asked what it could be (but also that they could be caused by hormones or something fine). The midwife I saw after was reassuring that my HcG levels had been normal so said it was much too early to worry about molar.
I just wondered if anyone else had had this kind of thing found and how it had developed?
