Turning a transverse baby

Just had my 36 week growth scan and baby is still transverse. If she is still like this by next Thursday I might have to stay in hospital until my c section on the 16th May. Ideally want to avoid this as hate hospitals!!

Does anyone have any tried and tested tips or tricks for getting her to move? Looking at Spinning Babies tonight to see if that will work but definitely open to any and all suggestions

Thanks!

Hi…Can they not bring your c section forward ? And why are they keeping you in. I have a breech at the moment nearly 33 and they said try manual EVC turning at 37 weeks or c section at 39 didn’t mention hospital stays

Hi they have said that because she is transverse I can't go into labour naturally as I risk the cord falling out first which then can lead to stillbirth. Because of that, I have to be checked for baby position next Thursday by the community midwife and if still transverse, they'll make me sit in hospital until my section at 39 +1. I understand it's for baby's safety but I really don't want to spend two weeks in hospital with nothing to do, awful food and it's both mine and DP's birthdays too!

I was thinking of asking them to section me earlier if she's still transverse. She's measuring almost 8lb at 35 weeks....

No mention or offer of manually turning her

I would ask them for your section at 37 weeks if baby is already measuring this big they should be like 9lb by 37 weeks.
look up your rights for it and let your midwife know your concerns
