Good morning ladies
I’ve had hemorrhoids since 1st trimester (currently 34+6 weeks) but they’ve never really caused any problems other than a few drops of blood when I wipe, no pain or anything else.
I’m on 150mg aspirin and was started on 40mg Clexane 12 days ago (by a different consultant than the one I normally see) and said to continue till 6 weeks post partum. I went in on Sunday for change in movement and midwife didn’t understand why I was put on Clexane as I was only scoring 2 in the VTE score and said I should ask my consultant who I’m seeing next week if I should continue or not.
With clexane I’ve had the usual bruising and feels like I have “lumps” where I inject myself in the thighs.
I’m not constipated anymore as I was in 1st trimester but this morning when I went to have bowel movement there was fresh red blood when I wiped, more than I’m used to. I got scared and thought I was bleeding from vaginal area as well (sorry TMI) but nothing from vagina only from anal passage. It’s not in my underwear and was only when I wiped.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I will call midwife at the hospital later but wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this with clexane?
