Can anyone help interpret my toxoplasmosis test result?

Hi, wondering if anyone can explain this toxoplasmosis test result to me. My GP ordered the test but had been v unhelpful in explaining the results unfortunately.

IgG: .20 IU/ml

IgM: negative

My understanding of it is that is that I do not have an active infection, but I do have immunity via a past infection, otherwise why would I have any IgG present? I’m wondering if anyone can tell from the level of IgG present when I may have had the infection?

My IGG was at 53 and it said clearly on the results that it was indicative of past infection. I think you're okay.

hi OP

those results indicate you’ve never had toxoplasmosis infection. 0.2 is negative, as it is less than the 1.6 required to be reactive. It’s normal to have a tiny bit of non-specific reactivity in these assays which is why it isn’t zero.
