Second time being induced, taking longer?

I was induced with DD with the gel, I was further on (38 weeks) but it was all such a quick process. Had the gel at 1am and DD came half 6 that evening.
I am now being induced with DS. Again through gel induction however I am 37 weeks. First gel just about has got me to 1cm. I’m on my second round of gel now but other than back/bum pressure and the odd twinge nothing seems to be happening.
How many rounds of gel do they try before go to emergency section? Scared as ideally wouldn’t like a section but DS seems to be stubborn!

They would break your waters then wait a couple of hours and if nothing kicked off then start you on a drip of oxytocin gradually.

I was on oxytocin for 17 hours and went for an emergency section but that's only because my baby had heart rate issues. If he hadn't have had those issues they'd have waited and waited so don't worry x

Iirc, you can have 3 days of 2 gels each. All they need is to get you to 2cm (fx that cramping is getting you there), then they can break your waters. Hopefully that will kickstart labour for you. Best of luck, and I hope things happen for you soon.
