Hi girls.
Was just wondering what everyone uses to help hayfever during pregnancy?
I usually get it bad around May but last few days it's come and I'm worried it's not going to go!
I usually get fexofenadine on prescription. Can anyone help? Confused
Thanks xx

Yes I had it awfully. I booked a GP appt and they prescribed a nasal spray. I can't remember which one but I would definitely seek advice. Boots pharmacy counter might be able to advise, or might direct you to your GP.

I was told by my GP that loratadine is ok but ideally not something you take every day. I've found it's barely making a dent though so need to try and go back and get a nasal spray

Weirdly my hayfever went when I was pregnant. Can you use those nasal sprays that are non-medicinal, they seem to help me on days when the pollen count is not too bad

You can take loratadine and ceririzine in pregnancy. Fexofenadine seems to be ok too. This website is useful: www.medicinesinpregnancy.org/

Funnily my hayfever wasn’t as bad during pregnancy. I’d definitely speak to your GP as the pharmacist wouldn’t give me and anti-histamine over the counter and advised me to speak to my GP. Who consequently advised it was better to use Vaseline in my nose and didn’t prescribe me anything . Luckily I wasn’t too bad
