Is anyone else being asked to covid test pre scans and appointments? Sort of surprised my trust is still asking for this, seems different everywhere...

Yes my trust requires this for all surgeries and procedures but not for outpatient clinic appointments

We were asked if we'd done tests at my scan last week and I said no as we'd just recovered from covid and my midwife said it wasn't necessary, they then just carried on and started the scan. Midwife said that as the tests are chargeable now and rules had changed that they wouldn't be asking for them

I was told by my midwife that my husband would have to test in order to attend the scan but that since they were required to see me regardless I didn’t have to. He tested as requested and then no one checked, asked or cared when we got there.

I think it’s still written on the website that you have to, but I’m 34 weeks pregnant and haven’t actually been asked about it at any appointment the entire pregnancy.

Nope, my trust changed their rules as soon as the tests were no longer free. I even phoned to double check and no tests are needed for scans.
