Hair dye in pregnancy?

Morning all,
I've got lots of greys (at the front and on my scalp) and I was wondering which hair dyes are the safest/natural?
My hair is naturally black so will be dying it black.
Previously my scalp always gets stained with the colour, of course I need to prevent that from happening this time! (18 weeks)

Dyeing your hair in pregnancy is considered safe.

T is safe and no need to worry about your scalp. It's more that there is a chance the dye won't take or will have a different result to usual.

I just had my hair done at hairdresser and no concerns. Try a patch test before as allergies can develop even if you were fine previously.

I'd be happy to use henna powder but I didn't dye my hair when pregnant.

Just make sure you do a patch test first as sometimes you get more sensitive to things... but it is safe while pregnant

It is safe but if you're worried look for a more natural dye like a vegetable one, although I have no idea if they come in black!

I dye mine every six weeks or so, all over, with a semi/demi permanent dye. I did during my previous pregnancy, as well, and everything was fine.

I can't say that I did any patch testing, though, mostly on the basis that every exposure potentially increases the risk of allergy, and so a patch test each time could make quite a big difference! But I've always felt like that about patch testing anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️
