Excessive vomiting increase blood sugars?

I’m 35 weeks pregnant and have been vomiting after almost every meal since being 28 weeks pregnant. I haven’t gained any weight since then and I’ve told my midwife and consultant (now been discharged back to midwife) and neither were concerned. I felt awful earlier and decided to do my blood pressure and blood sugars at work just to see (I work on a ward) B/P was low but blood sugars were 8.9 after eating? I’ve never been told by midwife etc about the potential of gestational diabetes, I also have none of the risk factors (not overweight, no family history, no previous big baby etc) so I am wondering if anyone else has experienced similar? I read somewhere that vomiting can increase sugar levels but I wasn’t sure if this was just applicable to people with diabetes? I will contact my midwife, but as it’s bank holiday and I'm seeing her on Monday anyway I thought I’d leave it until then, I just wondered what others experiences were?

Thank you x
