LEMSIP WHILE PREGNANT?! Help!

Hi guys.
I've come down with a horrible cold and my partner suggested I take some lemsip so I did.
Now I've realised you shouldn't take it while pregnant.
I took in total 4 lemsip day and night max strength cold and flu relief.
What should I do?!

Call your midwife and they will be able to advise and reassure.

Isn't the active ingredient paracetamol?
Maybe ask your GP or midwife, but I'm sure it's fine.

It's just cos of the decongestant but four pills aren't going to cause any problems. I wouldn't worry, just stick to paracetamol alone from now on.

Everything will be fine, as PP said, just take paracetamol from now if you really need it.

Don’t panic and don’t take any more. The decongestant is phenylephrine which is pretty useless.

It’ll be absolutely fine OP. It’s only because of the phenylepherine which can act as a stimulant and increase blood pressure - they only say avoid because pregnant women are already at risk from an increase in blood pressure. However, the amount you have taken would do little to zero!

^ this. Call your midwife if you have any concerns & just take paracetamol if needed. You can have homemade honey & lemon if you needed a warm soothing drink.

Hello! I’ve got a stinking cold, and just had a lemsip (had one yesterday too). I’m 22 weeks pregnant and just read that you’re not supposed to have have lemsip when pregnant! 😬Now I’m worrying!!
