how soon after the last day of your period are you fertile,as in when do you ovulate?

Depends on your cycle length. I think the standard fertility time is 2 weeks before the start of your next period, iyswim.

i read somewhere 15 days from the start of your period. at 22 weeks pregnant my periods seems just a blip in history

no your not being nosey not ttc tbh about a week after my monthly pal the thingy split and am still about two weeks away from being due so just wanted to know if i could have possibly gotten caught out.if i have i have my ds was a supprise and he is the love of my life so it wouldnt be a massive massive disaster

Most women ovulate around 14-16 days before their next period is due, this part of the cycle generally doesn't vary too much from one woman to another, it's the first part of your cycle that effects the length. Secondly while your egg only survives for a day or two at the most, healthy sperm can last for up to 5 days in your body, so it's possible for your egg to become fertilised a whole week after sex! (Suffice to say the rythym method can be a tifle dodgey if you are not aware of this!)Good luck btw.
