Just want to moan really.

I'm 17 weeks second pregnancy. Have a 2 year old DS.

I had covid three weeks ago and it put me on my arse. Couldn't get out of bed. Totally wiped out. Exhausted. Never felt so ill. I am double vaccinate and boosted.

Tested negative day 12. Felt better for about a week. Then started to feel I'll again. Spoke to doctor and blood tests done. He said I now have flu. I have also had my flu jab.

Feeling very hard done by because I feel so poorly. We have had to pay for extra childcare for DS because I can't look after him. DH is absolutely picking the slack as much as he possibly can.

Just feeling very sorry for myself

There's next to no flu atm (under 20 per 100k) you've been really unlucky.

Would it help to think of yourself as medical miracle?

@AuntieStella ha thanks made me smile although what I wouldn't give to give up the mantle of medical miracle and feel like a human a again.

The fact that I can't take anything to help is really bothering me. Paracetamol is
Doing nothing and I feel like I've been on it for weeks!

I have no idea where I have managed to get flu from. I'm slightly sceptical as the diagnosis was over the phone but I had bloods and urine sample done. He then text me to say you have the flu. Brilliant.

Similar predicament here, has covid 2 weeks ago at 23 weeks. Was expecting covid to be a walk in the park, not the case! Not sure if flu but something else similar either side of the covid which hasn't been much nicer! Feel like I might be coming out the other side of it now but am pg with twins and so doubt I'll be able to function/move around for very much longer anyway. So fed up. Can't concentrate to do my job properly which makes me v self conscious in pregnancy anyway. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm still feeling absolutely awful.

Is there anything I can do to help? I'm drinking taking paracetamol. I'm exhausted. My sinuses are killing. I have absolutely no energy. My head is hurt. My eyes are hurting.

Any tips of something to try???
