Hi-Wondering if anyone has gone through a similar experience and can provide any type of feedback. We had our first ultrasound on a Tuesday at 7 weeks,6 days (as per my LMP- 2/9). At this ultrasound, the gestational sac and yolk sac were both present but there was no fetal pole/heart beat/ etc. The gestational sac and yolk sac were both large- gestational sac 26 mm, yolk sac- 8 mm. On Wednesday, my HCG levels were checked and they were at 78,000.They were re-checked 2 days later and increased to 82,000 and progesterone levels at 16.Our doctor recommended a D&C but suggested a follow up ultrasound '"just in case" due to the increase in HCG levels. We had the ultrasound today (following Monday) and the yolk sac size had decreased and there was now a small fetal pole, but no heart rate. I am confused with the continuing rising HCG levels and growth in the fetal pole. Could this still potentially be a viable pregnancy or is it common to have increasing HCG and growth in fetal pole while miscarrying? I also should note, I have had no bleeding or cramping at all. Any feedback, advice, similar experiences are welcome.
