Knowing when your ovulating/cycle lengths?

Hello all on this TTC journey.

Since February I've noticed that my cycle lengths (days between each period aren't the same) does anyone else have this? Is it normal?

Between Feb and March it was 35 days and between March and April it was 27 days.

How on earth am I supposed to know when I'm ovulating if my cycle lengths are varying slightly? Should I be OPK testing for a better idea?

I was so lucky with my current two children as there was no trying as such but its over 6 years ago now since I had my youngest.

Any tips and tricks or if your in the same boat please join me!

Also I'm tempted to order either concieve plus or pre seed lube, has anyone used either? If so, did you think they helped?

I’ve always had cycles that varied in length, generally 28-32 days, sometimes up to 35 days. I did use OPKs when ttc DD2 (DD1 was conceived very quickly so never tracked anything), but to be honest for me it was just useful for confirming what I knew, as I get quite bad ovulation pain.

I think generally you don’t need to track that much if you’re having sex every couple of days (especially if you’ve only just started trying), but if you want to have more certainty and don’t have ovulation symptoms, then OPKs are probably the way to go.

If you absolutely want to know exactly when your fertile period is, then use OPKs and BBT thermometer. OPKs tell you when you're about to ovulate and the rise in BBT confirms ovulation.

Or, yep, have sex every 2 days for the whole cycle. That was too much for me Grin

I used Conceive Plus, I would like to think it helped!

Thank you both 😊😊

Sex every two days during my whole cycle is abit much 🤣 I'd crash half way through my cycle! Haha! I am thinking of OPK testing, will order some from Amazon.

& possibly the concieve plus lube, anything to help the process! 🤞🤞🤞

I'd take opk but don't rely on it completely- the time I got my bfp is the one month I stopped tracking and carried on dtd after my predicted ovulation date - I'm convinced I had my dates wrong and that's why it took us so long x
