Bizarre Sensations???

Has anyone else experienced this? I am 8 wks pg and keep getting what I can only describe as mild contraction like sensations when I am suddenly startled - eg was just having a nap & hubby came in through front door - sound of key in lock woke me up and had this funny sensation. has been happening a lot over last few weeks - also when dd wakes crying in night. Seems to be related to being startled and woken from sleep. Is really weird. Am concerned as have been bleeding and am going for early scan tomorrow - wondering if this has in some way caused bleeding. it's so odd!

that sounds quite puzzling to say the least. I know that when i was in the early stages, you do get alot of cramping like period cramps, due to the changes your ligaments are going through and this can last up to 12wks, when your uterus rises above your pubic bone. I think the rest could be coincidental. Hope the bleeding settles down, i had a bleed early on, and again at 32 wks, now theres only 4wks to go!! hope all is ok for you , let us know.
