Sex during pregnancy?

Very early days of pregnancy. Can’t imagine feeling in the mood for sex over the next 8 months! I am also susceptible to UTIs.

How normal is it to not have any sex during pregnancy?

I'm hoping it's normal!! I'm firmly in team cuddle atm.

Me and DP couldn't keep our hands off each other whilst TTC, I'm currently 10+4 and we're down to once in the last 2 weeks. Nausea, bloating, lack of energy and generally feeling crap has killed the passion! Not that my feelings have changed towards him, I just can't seem to get in the mood!

Thankfully he's extremely understanding 😅
I'm hoping it's a temporary phase!

My DH was so looking forward to the “she’ll just want to pounce on you phase” he kept reading about in all the baby books

Sadly it completely bypassed me and I just utterly had no drive at all. He’s taken it very well but I think he’s definitely looking forward to whenever we can get back to “normality” once the baby is here. Haven’t got the heart to tell him we’ll probably both be knackered and neither of us will want to!

I didn't fancy it much the first time round, except for trying to evict her near the end! Pregnant with DD2 and aside from first trimester when I felt too ill most of the time, I've wanted to have sex as normal. It just depends I think. There's a lot going on with hormones, etc. and your body changing.

Plus, we were TTC properly (as in timing it, etc.) for six months for DD1 so I don't think either of us were that bothered about a break after all the sex! DD2 was conceived via a quickie first month we didn't use contraception again, so we didn't have any TTC fatigue!

You may get your drive back in the second trimester. I'm currently third trimester and too big and uncomfortable for anything now!

I'm finding it's sore (assuming it's the high progesterone as I had the same problem when I was on the pill, stopped as soon as I stopped taking it) so we won't be having any any time soon 😂
