Bleeding after sex every time?

Just as the title says really. I'm 4-5 weeks pregnant, and every time DP and I have sex, I bleed. Not loads but it's bright red.

I know it can be normal to bleed during sex during pregnancy as I had it with my DD, but only once. Is it normal to bleed every time?

I would not have send until you have seen a midwife or doctor I would possibly call EPU and ask there advice.

I phoned EPU but they can't do anything because I'm too early on in pregnancy, phoned my GP practice and they don't have any appointments so I'll try phoning again in the morning

The first thing I would do is to stop having sex..

I would stop having sex until a cause is found and you know everything is ok, especially if it’s bright red blood. It could just be from your cervix which can be extremely sensitive during pregnancy but I’d wait a bit.

Had this all through the first trimester. Went to EPU a couple of times but they said everything was fine. Try not to worry too much. Could try 111 if you're not happy about waiting, they can sometimes book a GP appointment for you as they have done for me on occasion when I've called outside surgery times.

Possibly an ectropion which isn't anything to worry about but I echo what others have said I'd refrain from sex until someone can investigate, usually from 6 weeks x
