I am currently 30 weeks and due to babies growth (small) am likely to be induced at 38 weeks. Same happened with my first and I had a really long and awful induction. What are your experiences of a second induction, I know there's no way of knowing as we're all different but am I likely going to have another crappy Labour or was your second time around any better? TIA!

Sorry I don't have any advice as I'm still pregnant with my second but wanted to bump your post!

Personally I would recommend taking raspberry leaf capsules from about 34 weeks. They're supposed to strengthen your uterus making each contraction more effective, usually resulting in a shorter labour.
I was induced with my first at 39 weeks and my active labour was just under 6 hours. It was my first so nothing to compare it to but I'll definitely be taking them again this pregnancy in a few weeks

Hi @Lou98 thanks for the bump.
I did all the voodoo last time I took the raspberry leaf, I ate the dates. My active Labour was 13.5 hours but the issues were more medical like the pessary came out and I didn't know so had to have it put back in after a long wait, it took 3 attempts to break my waters with waits in between, three attempts to put my cannula in etc etc so overall I was in for six days. I think It's all this stuff im worrying about rather than the actual Labour progression if that makes sense, im hoping to go naturally at home and just have an overnight stay max now I have a toddler at home to look after! And if not then for the pessary to work quickly and kick things off 🤞🏼🤞🏼 good luck with your next go 💓
