How long after losing mucus plug was labour?

So I’m 38+1, had my first DC at 38+6, and I’ve lost a substantial sized piece of mucus plug so I’m just wondering how long everyone else lose their before labour? Bonus points for second time baby stories!
Also, baby is very low down and engaged, so I don’t think it’s going to grow back, I’m just super excited to meet her now! Also woke up with some pretty intense back pain that came in waves for about an hour before tapering off, no consistent contractions or bloody show yet though!
I started losing my plug with my first 4 days before he was born, this time I’ve lost bits here and there for the last week and a half, but it was a pretty big part that came out this morning so hopefully it’s a sign things will get moving soon

No time, it was the start of labour

So exciting, you will have your baby in your arms still on x

With my first I didn’t loose it until in early labour. Second child it kept coming away in bits for weeks and weeks before labour. Sorry
